Bonnie Kay Laffoon, age 68, of Odin, died at 4:45 pm on Friday, April 18, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia.

She was born on July 14, 1945, in Centralia, IL, the daughter of Bob and Ruth (Branson) Lowey. Bonnie married Richard "Dick" Laffoon on December 24, 2007 in Odin, Il and he survives.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Laffoon is survived by 2 sons - Bobby Reed and companion Sarah of Kell, and Larry Wilson and companion Becky Jolliff of Centralia;

Robert L. Greco, age 63, of Christopher, passed away at 9:52 pm on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Franklin Hospital in Benton, Illinois.

He was born on August 14, 1950 in Benton, IL, the son of Rocco A. & Letha E. (Fisher) Greco.

She was born on April 23, 1951 in Centralia, IL, the Daughter of William & Maxine (Oglesby) Cohlmeyer.

Mrs. Barnett is survived by her Mother- Maxine Cohlmeyer of Centralia, IL; Brother- Jack Cohlmeyer of Salem, IL; several nieces & nephews.

Bobbie Lee Townsley, age 85, of Kingwood, TX and formerly of Centralia, died at 3:34 am on Sunday, April 13, 2014 in Kingwood, TX.

He was born on October 23, 1928 in Canadian, TX, the son of Lee and Inez (Sanford) Townsley. Robert was first married to Jo (Holt) Townsley for over 50 years who preceded him in death in 2000, and was then married to Louise (Droege) Townsley, who he enjoyed marriage and travels for 6 1/2 years, who preceded him in death in 2007.

Herschel Otto Thomas, age 88, of Breese, formerly of Centralia, passed away at 5:38 am on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Belleville Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.

He was born on November 21, 1925 in Centralia, IL, the son of Otto & Edna C. (Breuer) Thomas. Herschel married Betty L. (Walker) Thomas on November 17, 1946 in Centralia, IL. She still survives in Breese.

Donna Marie Whipple, age 75, of Hoyleton, passed away at 1:45 pm on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at her home in Hoyleton, Illinois.

She was born on November 23, 1938 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Warren & Albertha (Brown) Keller. Donna married Dickie Whipple on May 14, 1959 in Du Quoin, IL. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Helena J. Matthews, 70, of Eagan, MN was born June 27th, 1943 in Centralia, IL to the union of Samuel and Luvenia (Thorpe) Currie. She made her transition to Heaven at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 with her family surrounding her at the Augustana Health Care Center in Minneapolis, MN. She was the youngest of 11 children.

She attended Lincoln Grade School and was a 1961 graduate of Centralia High School. She married Morris Matthews Sr. on February 14, 1964 in Centralia. Mrs. Matthews was a member of Crossroads of Faith in Centralia.

Memerie Duncan Winegarner, age 73, of Salem, passed away at 10:00 pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

She was born on December 16, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of William Fitch & Re Louise (Sipe) Montfort. Memerie married Ralph Larnie Winegarner on November 23, 1962 in Mt. Vernon, IL. He still survives in Salem.

William (Bill) Lee Culbreth, age 74, of Centralia, Il died on Tuesday, March 25th, 2014. He was born on September 22, 1939, in White Hall, Il., the son of William Oral and Edith Leah (Axley) Culbreth. Bill graduated from White Hall High School in 1957, and moved to Centralia, Il. when he married Marlyn Rude on December 23, 1960.
Bill graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked for the State of Illinois and Blaise before becoming employed in Hospital Engineering for Centralia St. Mary's Hospital, Murray Center, and Belleville Memorial Hospital from where he retired.

Cariene B. Jones, age 39, of Naperville and formerly of Centralia, died at 12:29 am on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Edward Hospital in Naperville.

She was born on September 27, 1974 in Centralia, the daughter of Carl B. and Georgia L. (Winbush) Jones.

Cariene is survived by her mother - Georgia Jones-Richardson of Odin; father - Carl B. Jones and wife Queen Williams of Centralia; son - Jelani K. McClain Jr. of Naperville;

Pearl Gibson, age 86, of Centralia, died at 10:02 am on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at her home.

She was born on October 3, 1927, in Centralia, the daughter of Clyde and Helen (Burek) Bonner. She married Paul Gibson and they later divorced.

Pearl is survived by 2 sons - Robert Gibson and wife Chris of St. Clair, MO, and Mike Gibson of Centralia; 4 daughters - Linda Ford of Cleyborne, TX, Barbara Pranga and husband Joseph of Radom, Alice Qualls of Centralia, and Rose Gibson of Mt. Vernon; 2 sisters - Virginia VanDyke, and Alberta Bonner both of CA; 15 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
